guiltline 

An "optional" deadline. At the passing of which one would normally feel guilt, but not death.

The teacher suggested that the "deadline" is May 21st, but said that we could hand it in later. The "deadline" has passed. As I am not dead, but feeling guilty at not submitting the paper, it was a guiltline.
