According to Karnataka mythology, Goddess parvati was known as Girija as she was the daughter of King Giriraj. She was a grand devotee of almighty shiva. She considered the Almighty as her Lord to always praise. Since, shiva is considered as girija-esh(Lord). Hence, Girjesh is an another name of Lord Shiva.
