Acronym; Case Undetermined Pending Police Investigation. Often seen in crime television programs (ie: Law and Order, J.A.G.).

Note:

The C in CUPPI can also be seen as Circumstances.

Officer Mitch: What do we have today Donna?
Officer Donna: Another CUPPI, third one this week.
