The name for a female person of any age. Women, girls, and female infants are all included in the term. Refers to the sex class, not a gender identity. Noun version of "female" for humans.
Medicines are rarely tested on gynes, only andros. Gynes are very oppressed by certain regimes and aren't allowed an education or to leave their house unaccompanied. Some religious view gynes as lesser than males. Some gynes may not identify as women, but they still may need access to abortions and the like.
