To cheat on your spouse/partner and then pretend apologize and feel bad to save face when caught out. US senators and congressman seem to be particularly good at it.

Dave: Dude, did you hear about John Ensign running around on his wife with some other married woman.

Aaron: Yeah, but he did a clinton, so it's all ok.
