It refers to when a friend becomes more than just a "friend". It is really a city in Arkansas' dry Clark County, Arkadelphia is the next exit after another small city in Arkansas Called Friendship, when coming from Little Rock. The city itself really doesn't have a whole lot to offer. "Just past Friendship is Arkadelphia"

Jed "How was your data last night?"

Billy Bob "Pretty good, made it to Arkadelphia."

Jed "huh?"

Billy Bob "Yeah Buddy, it's just past friendship!"
