Rank (slang noun/verb) — A social status level based on how known, respected, or connected someone is in their scene, school, or community. Having “rank” means people recognize you, invite you places, talk about you, or want to be around you. Rank can go up by doing things like throwing parties, going out, making connections, being social, or building a reputation.
