Chosen family is family of person who is disowned by their parents for usually being part of lgbt+ community. Chosen family is usually made up of friends.

Aron : These is my sister Blanca.
Em : Huh? Wdym you’re the only child.
Aron : Ugh...
Aron : She is part of my chosen family since my parents disowned me for being gay...
