A series of board games about railroads and stock investment usually taking from 4-12 hours or longer and played by major nerds with long beards. The name 18xx comes from the fact that the games are titled by years in the 1800s or after a city such as 18LA

I’m into board games, but I don’t think I’d have the patience to play 18xx, that’s for real nerds
