A catch all phrase used by Uk tree surgeons that means something works or is positive ie ‘Hey your new disco really kicks in’ or ‘my new Ifor Williams 10x6 tipper? She really kicks in!’ The word kick in various guises can be applied to may areas, for example:
Kick up - to hurry
Kick through - to make progress
Kick on - to continue
Kick back - to go backwards
Kicky - either a functional or disfuctional object
Kickers - a protective shield of some description
Kick out - something that sticks out
Kick around - like stick around or move around
Kick over - to go over
Kick-a-mundi - something really special
