1.) When someone calls your name, you turn your head quickly to look, and no one is there to speak to you anymore.
2.) When someone drives by in a car and beeps a horn and when you turn you cannot figure out who it was.
Rubbernecker: "Hey, John."
John (turns head): "Yes?"
-(No one is in sight anymore)
Rubbernecker(to friends): "Nice, I just rubbernecked the shit out of that kid."
