when a relief pitcher blows a lead in a baseball game. In refrence to Boston Red Sox midseason acquisition Eric Gagne's inability to hold a lead no matter how big.

The Sox thought the game was wrapped up until (name of pitcher)came in and pulled "a Gagne".
