hypopieosis 

A physiological condition that results from a low level of pie in the diet. While not generally life-threatening, it is known to substantially diminish a patients quality of life. Therapeutic dosing with pie often causes dramatic reversal of suffering.

The pumpkin pie was the perfect remedy for the returning astronauts hypopieosis.
