gock block

An instrument used typically by marching instructors that is made out of plastic or synthetic woods. The gock block is hit in order to establish or keep a tempo for musicians to march or play to. Also referred to as met or metronome.
Student 1: Bro, where's the met clicky thingy?
Student 2: You mean the gock block? I think it's in the director's office.
