The origin of the term derives from the 1920's gentlemen's clubs; during the time women were not permitted to smoke and so it was sexually arousing to watch a woman take a long draw of a smoke, cigar, pipe, etc.
This term is derived from "messy nessy" culture, which later became apart of movie culture based of the term "to smoke" someone!

"Smoke show" (also smoke-show/smokeshow) references the saying "It is all smoke and mirrors" meaning "It is only a deceptive illusion" - this has its origins in 19th century theater, where smoke and mirrors were used to create illusions on the stage. "To smoke someone", an American gangster slang ; to kill
She is a smokeshow...

"...this turns into a smoke show, you get smoked first."

"if this turns out to be lie, you will be the first person to be killed."
