Leaving something behind or purposely forgetting an item of yours in front of the person you like or have a crush on.
Later if they bring it back to you or call you, or just make any kind of effort to return the item you will have a chance to talk to them again. And bonus they might actually like you as well, when they went through all that trouble just to give you back your pen - for example :)
