Helrode

"Helrode" is the original name of a village belonging to the town Eschweiler in Germany/Rheinland. The village today is "Hehlrath" (Look at wikipedia!). It was founded by Gerardus de Helrode, a "Ritter" and "Schöffe" in Aachen, who lives at his Castle in Helrode, which perhaps was the Haus Cambach, today the Bauernhof Kugel at the Oberstraße or the Bauernhof Schleip near by the church.
The name of Hehlrath in the dialect today is a shortform of Helrode: Hähle.
