A term used to describe the pubescent cracking of the vocal chords often heard in adolescent males as their voice changes, but somewhat common to both genders and all ages. There is no preceding term used to describe this phenomena, it has previously been described as merely one's voice "cracking." Squirk is a noun and a verb.
