a word meaning funny in the sense of odd or peculiar; one could say the "non ha- ha" meaning of funny. It was formed by taking the consonants of the french word drole, and the vowels of the word funny. It was created in 1970 at UPenn and is remembered by many from there to this day.
The slant he gave to his hat, was rather durly, and nearly everyone smiled as he passed them.
