Gennady Homelev was one of the leaders of the Russian criminal underworld, known as "Ges" or "Ges Homelev". He was the ringleader of one of the largest criminal groups in Russia back in the 1990s. Homelev was involved in organizing various criminal acts, including smuggling, racketeering, murder and other illicit activities.
Relatively recently, Homelev was liquidated by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, that is, he was physically eliminated as a serious public security concern.
