“Wild work” describes a pattern of intense, disruptive, or emotionally charged behavior that impacts others or the environment around the person. It can involve actions that are dramatic, impulsive, manipulative, or out of control.
He was doing wild work after the argument—sending long, emotional texts, calling mutual friends to drag them in, just completely spiraling.
