An insistent desire to see or have contact with another individual, but avoiding contact with the person as to not seem desperate.
Example 1:
(Guy) "Ugh I really wanna see bae after the club tonight, but Im thirst shy"
Example 2:

(Friend) "Gurl, go holla then!"
(Girl) "I want to, but he's gonna think Im a ratchet thirsty hoe..."
