social shaming

The use of social media to shame a stubborn or unresponsive company into fixing its goods or services. In short, it's applying the doctrine of public humiliation to shape behavior to social media and thus a much larger or at least potentially much larger audience.
I'm using social shaming to make a software provider fix its crappy software.
