Edaxis's definitions
It is an expression for a good luck. You will hold your thumbs for wishing good luck to somebody. It is like a crossing fingers.
holding thumbs Use for it in an example:
"You have that hard exam tomorrow? I will hold thumbs for you."
"You have that hard exam tomorrow? I will hold thumbs for you."
