medium thug 

A person who is about that life to a certain extent. A medium thug will do minimal harm, but take absolutely zero shit. They're not as hard as a traditional thug, but they ain't sweet either.

"I heard Jay shot someone, is that true?"
"Oh nah, Jay won't do that, he's a medium thug."
