whiteby

Whiteby is colloquial term for the town of Whitby, Ontario, Canada. Whitby translates to 'White Village' or 'White Community' in Old Nordic dialect. The population there is approx. 70% Caucasian as of 2023. Some people talk Whitby down because there's 'too many white people' there (which could be considered a racist opinion) whilst others adore Whitby because it's a safe, clean and calm place to reside, and it's less than an hour commute to the downtown Toronto core.

I love Whiteby because it's close to Toronto but it doesn't have much violent crime to worry about.
