Naval term for thongs, specifically worn from the mess living quarters to the heads toilets and showers.
Do not get caught going for a shower without your gidders thongs on for health and safety reasons when moving around the ship. Someone who goes for a shower without their thongs on is referred to as piss paddling, and likely to get Tinea athletes foot
