Deriving pleasure (dpleasure/dx) from the pain that comes from taking higher math classes over lower math classes, e.g. BC Calculus over AB Calculus, particularly when other aspects of school are disturbed in the process.
Michael: Did you hear that Melissa's taking Calculus 3, even though that messes up her schedule?
