Tooting one's horn refers to the act of inflating your ego through self praise of high regard.

Also referred to by gangstas as "bigging yourself up."

"Oh I say Winston is certainly tooting his horn after winning that game of polo."

"It certainly isn't a very charming attitude to be tooting one's horn after succeeding in fornicating a fine young lady."
