Snow Balls was the term used in the 1920s for celebrity Cocaine parties. Although Cocaine was being banned by the government as an ingredient in normal everyday products, the black market started to fill the niche. With such a stigma then associated with Cocaine, Hollywood began blacklisting artists caught using Cocaine.
When the Feds raided Snow Balls, some artists realized that was the end of their career.
