B-doi's definitions
Shorthand for "plate", usually accompanied by a number at the start reffering to the ammount of 20kg/45lb plates on one side of a barbell (the barbell is assumed to be 20kg and is added to the total).
Each pl8 adds 40kg top of the initial 20kg.
The conversion from pl8 to kg goes as follows
npl8 = 20 + (n*40) kg
Where n is the number of plates.
Examples:
1pl8 = 60kg / 132 lbs (aprox.)
2pl8 = 100kg / 220 lbs (aprox.)
3pl8 = 140kg / 308 lbs (aprox.)
4pl8 = 180kg / 397 lbs (aprox.)
lbs are rounded and not exact measurements)
