The delicate art of gently cupping ones exposed scrotum and flaccid penis in ones hand so as to resemble the form of proud European dove nesting. Often used as a sign of affection towards one's significant other. Originates from the period of the French Revolution when poor peasants were unable to afford lavish gifts for their mistresses. A french dove was an honourable way to show ones affection.
