Similar to that's what she said (twss) or that's what he said (twhs), but instead of using he or she, it uses they. They is usually used for gnc (or non-binary) people.

"That's what they said" is not commonly used as much as"that's what he/she said".

A: yo look at this huge slug
B: gross dude why's it so long!?
A: TWTS (that's what they said)
B: get out.
