When a food/drink tastes like the smell of something. For example, when you eat a dish or candy, and it tastes like distinctive smell of either plastic or leather. Plastic and leather are not flavors, but your senses play off of one another, and your dish can taste like that scent.

“This gummy worm abuves the likeness of plastic”.

OR

“This gummy worm abuves plastic”

Basically, this gummy worm tastes like smell of plastic.
