Outdated technology which was more popular in yesteryear
Anybody with any sense refuses to buy American cars because they are always full of yestertech.
Adjective; describing a device of mechanical or electrical methodology or technology - be it mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc. - which has been made obsolete by current standards, practices and/or methodologies. Something which has been replaced by state-of-the-art design; a device relegated to non-usefulness in terms of pragmatism, popular acceptance, and/or general obsolescence.
A rotary dial telephone is so yestertech.
