A large amount of days spent work (as like a marathon), usually they suck.

Man, last weekend was such a workathon.

Worcation 

When you are working out of town, in some place fun. This results in working in the morning and vacationing in the evening. AKA Working, but on vacation from the office.

I just spent a week in Las Vegas for the SEMA show. I celebrated with several beers at night, overall it was a good worcation.

workation 

Work remotely while doing the touristy things on weekend or after work.
Not always a good idea but sometimes is more practical.

Me: I wanna visit my brother in Austin and I don't have much vacation left for the rest of the year.
Wifey: Let's do a workation. We can spend more time in Austin in a relaxed way.

Workation 

Anytime you bring work materials, laptops , paperwork or worse keep meetings, in a neurotic attempt to 'keep up' on what should essentially be personal or vacation time.

This is most acute when you realize you get more actual work done, on "vacation" than when in the office, because nobody is interrupting you.

Bob & Mary's workation to the Bahamas centered around both of them never leaving the WIFI hot spot of their hotel and working on and off and never seeing much of the island or doing anything away from their laptops.

When you and a a coworker have amazing chemistry and are great friends at work, almost to the point of dating, but outside of work ypu have practically zero contact.

Person 1: Damn, Jack and Jill get along so well, are they dating?

Person 2: Nah, but they're in a pretty serious worklationship huh?

Taking a vacation in order to get work done in an atmosphere of undisturbed awesomeness.

"I want to go on workacation to Hawaii/Barcelona/the Baltic Sea to work on my paper/thesis/novel/album/project."
"Just make sure you don't have constant Internet access."
