Waterbuddy 

Waterbuddies are close friends who play watersports together.

Often significant others don't want to play watersports, so water buddies fulfill the need. Rules can be set so that it's not cheating on the so. If there is no so, then waterbuddies are free to play, but then they're usually called fbuddies or lovers.

Yeah they're hot! But I heard the blond has a secret waterbuddy in San Francisco. Yeah, he's hot enough to get away with it.
