verb: acting in a foolish manner indicitive of one's disregard for acceptable public behaviour; appearing to behave as a "wild" person. In some circles,wilin' is admired as a sign of hipness, having a good time and a positive display of individuality.
1. "The suspect on "Cops" was wilin' once they found out that he was high on PCP."
2. "We were wilin' all up in the club with those hotties."
A term first used on the Chappelles Show, on the "Mad Real World" skit. It decribes a situation in which individuals(not neccesarily any particular race) are behaving in a loud, crazy, sometimes violent manner. Such behavior is usually drug or alchohol induced.
Mike: "Hey Vince! After we slam these beers Im bout to knock that nigga out, and leave the club with his girl."
Vince: "Niggas is wilin'!"
Often used in connection to enthusiastically dancing or partying to hip hop music; having an extremely good time in a party setting. Usually used in conjunction with the preposition "out," ie. "wiling out."
Possible origins: The term "wiles," used to describe an alluring or seductive manner.
"Winding," used in island culture and music to describe a type of dancing often performed to reggae music, may also be at the root of "wiling out."
"We were drinking Bacardi, grinding with these fine ladies to some MVP, taking shots from the ice luge on the beach... we were wiling out, man!"
