A dachshund, either standard or minature. Called weinerdog because of its resemblance to a hotdog or "weiner". This dog was originally bred in Germany to find moles or badgers.

Today this word refers to the Oscar Meyer 'Weinermobile' which commonly patrols the United States spreading the parent companies illustrious name.
