water off a duck's back

An insult that rolls off you like water off a duck's back is one that is ignored.
Sometimes you need to let things roll off you like water off a ducks back.

I read some of your posts and, to be honest with you, it seems like you kind of go out of your way to invite a confrontation just so you can convince yourself that you have a leg to stand on.

So far I do not see your name being assigned as mod and I found your posts to be difficult to read as there is a lack of cohesion to your messages.

Secondly, if you do not want people spamming then you would be well advised to follow your own advice and stop making numerous off topic posts.

Look, I get a bit miffed too when people respond in the manner this "Hog" guy did but at the same time sometimes you just have to view people like him as you would an ill behaved 2 year old.

But..it would be to your benefit as well as others if you do not purposely invite confrontations like that. It is called a "set up" and is almost at the bottom of the ethics scale.

Stealthie

when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.

This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
FRIEND A: "Did you just take a stealthie of me?"

FRIEND B (turning phone around): "no I was just using snapchat's new filter, see?"

The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”
