treblinka

One of 3 nazi death camps organized by Odilo Globocnik in eastern Poland in 1942 under: "Operation Reinhard." So named after the assasination of Reinhard Heydrich in Prague. The purpose of this, and the other 2 camps, was to impose the "final solution." The wholesale slaughter of the Jewish people, and other "un-desireables."
6 million Jews were slaughtered in multiple death camps, one of which was Treblinka.
