Lost In The Wiki's

Going on Wikipedia to search and spending way longer than needed because you click on other names.
Dude, I was going to call you back but I got lost in the wiki's. I was looking up John Goodman and an hour later I found myself at Francis Ford Coppola. Did you know he and Nicholas Cage are related?

Catch the Wiki

A very hard game played on Wikipedia. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or two. First, click on the "Random Article" button. Now remember what that article was. Click the "Random Article" button again. Now you have to keep clicking links that are hyperlinked until you get back to your original topic. RULES: You can't use the searchbar(obviously), you can only go to links via the hyperlinked words, and you can't go back.
Joe got bored when writing a science essay, so he decided to play Catch the Wiki.

wiki the g

v. the act or action of looking up "G-spot" on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia. Generally done by adolescent males, it has also been observed in females raised in sheltered conditions.

Person 2: "It doesn't. Wikipedia says so."
Person 1: "You looked on Wikipedia?! Way to wiki the g!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH."

The Wikipedia Effect

The Wikipedia Effect is the tendancy for inquisitive people to become caught in an endless series of pages on the popular open-encyclopedia, "Wikipedia", to which they are forced to read every single page they've opened.

This tends to happen thanks to Wikipedia's inter-linking model, which links important words in a particular article, to an entire article on that word. The trend can then easily cascade from there, ending in dozens of pages that a user finds interesting.
"Don't you just love The Wikipedia Effect? It sure is a good way to stave off boredom."
