sympathy fishing

Sort of like self pitty, but more like the act of faking to hate oneself and expecting to get peoples sympathy.

Karl: I hate myself i am such a stupid person *thinks that he is smart for sympathy fishing*
Person:no your not you are awesome and smart.
Karl: *evil smile*
