aka "SI." A person who strives to provide proof of the existence of emerging societal conditions in the context of how these conditions function wihtin various strata of society. A social illuminatrix will dig into the sand or through web pages relating to current and upcoming trends. This person fosters understanding between persons of varying background, interests, ages and belief in a non-judgmental format.

Social illuminatrix Ralph Rossberg spoke to our parents of teens church group tonight as social illuminatrix on the subject of "emo." Most of the parents had never heard the term and those that had were only partially understanding of the broad implications of "emo" in regards to music, dress, personality and social identity.

Social class illusion 

When people are able to live the life of people in a certain social class that they them selves do not necessarily fit into .

Guy 1: Look at Bill, he's rich, he lives in the suburbs, has 2 cars, goes to private school, and vacations on the beach.

Guy 2: I've known Bill since he was 5. He used to live in an apartment until he was 7, when he moved to the suburbs he bought the smallest house that he could barely afford. He couldn't even afford cable tv or a DVD player as a kid. The cars he has are both Hondas which are about 8 years old. His family takes one vacation a year, they have 5 people in their house and he goes to private school and a shit amount of financial aid. He's living a complete social class illusion. He's middle class.

Illogical Social Theory

The meta-theoretical claim that theories about society cannot and should not be fully logical—that social theory must embrace contradiction, paradox, and the limits of systematization. Human social life is too complex, too historical, too meaning-laden to be captured in a fully consistent theoretical system. Illogical Social Theory embraces this: good social theory is partial, contextual, self-aware of its contradictions. It doesn't try to eliminate inconsistency but uses it as a lens into social complexity. Theory that is too logical is likely too simple.
