When one sees another pull out a pack of gum, they can shout, "Shotgum," and automatically receive a piece of said person's gum.

Josh pulls out pack of Orbit gum
Steph: "Shotgum!!!"
Josh: aw man, now i have to give you a piece.
Steph: ALRIGHT!!
