I have read a load of rubbish on here about the definition of the word, its not Sharmone, its charmon and is actually Michael Jackson's artistic variation of singing "COME ON". I found this out in 1987 after the Bad single came out. I thought everybody knew this, why post things as a fact when they are completely wrong.
You know I'm bad! I'm bad! You know it! You know it! You know! You know! You know! Shamon! And the whole world has to answer right now, so I'll tell you once again who's bad!
According to Spike Lee, from his Bad 25 documentary, "Shamone" "isn't just a cool way to say "come on," but MJ's tribute to soul singer Mavis Staples, who used it in a live version of "I'll Take You There" in 1975."
Old military slang for the art of making it look like your working when your not.
