shadegg

An insanely irrelevant or false argument. Named after Representative John Shadegg (R - AZ) who argued in October, 2009, that proposed healthcare bills passing through the House would lead to "Soviet-style gulag health care."
"The debate turned into a total shadegg when he started talking about gulags."
