Derived from Charles Dickens' novel 'A Christmas Carol', a scroogeous person is someone who is very mean when it comes to money.

Patrick: "Hey dude, can I borrow five bucks?"
Thomas: "No way man, earn your own cash!"
Patrick: "Don't be so bloody scroogeous!"
