scene kids suck. they think they are original, but there are millions of kids just like them. they want to be cool, but they cant, because they copy each other. the kids that put x's on there hands, wear vintage clothing, and say they just do their own thing, are just in it for the fashion and will grow out of it.
damn scene kids, walking around the mall thinking they are so cool. they know people make fun of them, they just act like they dont care, and go home and cry about it.

Someone who takes pictures of themselves looking depressed or contemplative. They are either looking away from the camera or straight into the camera. Their hair is usually covering part of their face. Dark make-up and dress are usually worn, but not always. Pictures are usually developed in gray scale or sepia tone.
Your picture is so emo that you look like a scenester.

The latest American trend, and the greates concentration of teens in denial you could ever imagine. The latest in Emo/Hardcore/Indie/Metalcore (All of that shit, you know, it's all the same) which requires the people in it's "scene" to wear tight clothing, key clips on their pants, and band shirts. Multitudes of others along the same lines wear scarves, eyeliner, girl pants (for boys), black nail polish, zip hoodies/track jackets, and vintage clothing.

A scene person will deny being scene. They will become hostile and sometimes physical. They will tell you that you don't know what a scene is, and you don't know them, or they will play naive and just continually deny being scene. These people usually like the latest bands in the Emo world.
That guy in girl pants is really scene.

there are many types of scene.
everyone hass a different definition of scenee;
i consider myself scene , why?
i wear skinny jeans, love to tease my hair and

i have black stripes in my bangs and a different color bow everyday. i love wearing necklaces and braclets.
studded belts are a must in my outfit. my favorite bands are underoath (check em out their hott) , greenday (also hott) framing hanley. singers ; micheal jackson (R.I.P) . yes, my eyeliner is pretty dark aswell. my vocabulary is very awkward =\ my myspace name would be toxicc tayy <3 . plus i love all the haters that hate on me at school i keep my head held high. people who talk shit are just jealous because if they were scene they couldnt pull it off like me xP.

scene varies in many different ways.
scene people are no different then anyone elsee.
we are al made equal. no one outranks anyone else.remember that before you talk shit.

ok so why do people bash so called "scene kids" i mean. just because you prefer to shop at hot topic, and you like to stand out doesn't mean shit. why arent people freaking out on all the "abercrombie whores" and "hollister sluts" ?? they ALL look the same, and they're... well... mostly ugly. come on. sperrys??? ugh... because: scene kids are not "socially acceptable" fuck that. who wants to be normal anyway? ok... theres so many definitions of scene kids. so heres a definition of the two types i mentioned at the beggining:
-they wear sperrys
-or crocs
-or some other form of ugly ass brown or tan shoes
-the ALWAYS wear flared jeans, with pre-made rips,(heaven forbid, i accidentally rip my own pants)
-they wear those retarded shirts with the fish on them, even tho none of the chicks have EVER been fishing. except maybe once with daddy
-only shops at hollister, abercrombie, or aeropostale
-bashes scene kids on myspace (tho they secretly WISH they looked HALF that good)
-drives big trucks
-drinks budweiser
-has parties at the 'dirt pit' oh so exciting
ok
my frustration is out.
fuck
xXx

fuck ur scene.
fuck my scene.

okay, almost all of you are so WRONG. mmk, scene and emo are similar but also different. emo would be dpressed people who wear all black, skinny jeans, or black dickie type karpis and obviosly wear dark makeup. the fact that they cut, makes them wear a jacket too. SCENE is soo different. its way more rad, and i love it. im a scene girl so i can describe girls, but they have choppy hair, that they do so much to. i personaly wear bows and headbands or bobby pins. or ill leave it all down and teased. we never wear our hair up cause it looks crazy wierd. for clothes, there are so many colored skinny jeans. we wear pink and teal, blue.. black. and NO scene girls are never seen wearing all black. scene are hollister hotties (id say). we wear hollister and many layers. we look almost preppy, but it looks scene with skinny jeans, vans, teased hair, dark make up, colorfull plastic rings, piercings.. and blah blah blah. :p
scene girls: skinny jeans, bright clothes, band shirts, hollister hottie, bows, teased, vans, music lovers.

Well only one of you guys seem to really get the scene.
The scene (was) a place for creative self expression and good music. You shared ideas, bands, and new styles with your friends since you were more than likely the only kids in the school with the afinity to dress wierd (albeit very brightly).
Scene Kids are not all stupid, self-indulging, camera whores.
we used to pride our selves on being different and then everyone was scene.
Yes we do love makeup and fashion and music.

A BREIF SCENE HISTORY:
The scene used to be a good thing. We used to be the select few artsy, but somewhat not depressing, kids.
We were what we were and we were very defensive about what we liked.
But then like all things that become fads, the scene was slowly picked up by other cliques.
For instace i saw a SCENE cheerleader... Thats just plain wrong.
but naturally we are disgusted by what the whores have done to the scene.
But like all fads, the scene fad will end and people will look upon it as "remember that time when everyone had crazy colored hair and skinny jeans and bright makeup?" like people look upon the eighties.

And that is my piece.
"Ever since the whores took over the scene, i dont wanna be scene anymore."

"Wow that old shool shirt is so scene."

"I love your bright makeup, its so scene."

"That girl tries too hard to be scene"

one true scene kid to another: "The freshman 'scene' chick says she need her 'nic-fix' ... what is she like 12?"

"And thats why im not scene anymore."

the whole scene lifestyle a fuckload of rules. I'm kinda fuzzy on the guy part of it, since I'm not exactly male, and I don't wanna mis-inform anyone, so I'll stick to the girl stuff. mmk?

so scene girls........god, where to start? I guess hair, because hair is probably the most identifiable part of a good scene kid, as long as they have scene hair. a lot of younger scene kids prefer to skip the hair, or atleast downgrade it, because a lot of schools see it as a dress code violation, or their parents might not let them. but I'm getting off the point. scene hair follows a few basic principles:
1} the cut. scene hair is usually choppy, sometimes even mullet-esque, but that's not always fashion-friendly. basically there are two main scene cuts: longish and shortish. short hair is usually a little longer than chin length in the front, with bangs that run straight across, usually just below the brow. the front pieces are typically longest, and angled upward to the back. on the back of their head it's usually cut in super-choppy layers that they use to gel in different directions. the longish cut usually has heavy side bangs, and a choppy cut all around. there's really no part that's particularly longer than the other parts. it's just all messy. sometimes they'll have grown out the very bottom layer, or put in super-long extentions on the bottom. hair is always straightened. no ifs ands or buts. always.
2} the colour. there are three main colours that are good for scene hair: black, red, or my personal favourite, white blond. usually black hair will be streaked with white blond, neon, or red, blond with black, neon, or red, and red with black, white blond, or neon.
3} the stylist. typically, scene hair is either styled by friends, the scene kid themself, or a stylist that's basically one of their friends. usually, however, it's one of the first two, as most parents don't want to pay for a stylish to "ruin" their child's hair.

it may seem like scene girls would all have the same hair, but it's amazing how different they can all look. people who say they're conformists are mostly just jealous. ;D

soooo.......what next? I'm actually really sleepy right now, so here's a list of scene kid trends/characteristics for girls:

-dinos
-robots
-delia*s
-multiple piercings
-heavy eye makeup, either black or neon
-skinny jeans
-thick headbands (skinny ones look retarded)
-SMALL hairbows (big ones, again, look retarded)
-studded belts
-plastic beads
-jelly/sex bracelets
-cupcakes
-ice cream cones
-popsicles
-candy
-candy (pony bead bracelets, often traded between scenesters & their friends)
-using && instead of &
-using words like orgasmic and the sex to describe myspace pics/people
-saying bai instead of bye
-being bi, which isn't really a trend, it just happens to be prevalent amoung scenesters
-calling scene people scene kids, no matter what age or gender
-whore trains on myspace bulletins
-guns
-bullets
-blacklights
-strobe lights
-spencers
-pretending to be gangster as a joke
-taking medication for various mental disorders like depression, social anxiety, etc (again, it's not really a trend, it's just more prevalent because in scene society it's okay to not be perfect)
-taking an excess of medication
-boozing
-smoking cigarettes
-smoking weed

the best thing about scene is that you're fine however you are. scene kids will find something right with you when the cheerleaders and the preppies and the norms and even the dorks turn you away. and, of course, they have the most fun of any social group. because, really, what's more fun that going to local shows every weekend and getting so wasted you don't even remember what band you saw?
did you see those scene kids back there?
or
that girl is so scene!
