Fred Berry, from the 1970's sitcom "What's Happening!!". It dealt with the mischief of three African-American teens, Raj, Rerun, Dwayne, living in the Watts area of Los Angeles. Rerun was an overweight and cheery character who wore bright colors, was a great dancer, and was often self depricating: "I can't help it if I'm fat! It runs in my family.". Same genre as "Good Times".
As for you, Rerun, get your fat ass up offa that couch and do something!
The act of call center employees feeling the need to share the call they just took with the rest of the room in such a manner that would indicate it is the most intriguing or interestingcall that they've had all year.
Carl: "You wont believe the call I just took"
Me: "Yes I would - I'm sitting right next to you dumbass"
Carl: "Please just let me tell you! It's the best call I've had all day"
Me: "Quit with Rerun Syndrome and auto-in...you're fucking up our team stats!"
Any generation whose source of cultural identity comes from stealing everything that was popular at least 2 decades ago. The basis for most ideas in music, TV shows, and movies come from other music, TV shows and movies, and are the foundation of what is popular, instead of people coming up with original ideas.
